The card
Before you ask
Finished before the prompt, never instead of it. Print two or three per learner.
The card is not a prompt template. It is what a learner finishes before they are allowed to write one.
The fourth line is the gate in miniature. A learner who cannot answer it is not ready to hand the work over, and a facilitator can hear that answer without understanding anything on the screen.
By the end of a build session most learners have circled three or four cards. A learner who circled Keep it every time was not checking anything, and you can see that from across the room without reading a line of what they built.
